Bio
Baby Gargoyle is a Rotterdam-based 3-piece band. At the junction between darkwave, post-punk, coldwave and art pop we aim to bring elegance to the slap of 80s drum machine sounds with lush electric violin through heavy effects and industrial rhythms made from samples of Rotterdam’s industrial landscape.
Baby Gargoyle brings you a performance with a dramatic and slightly unhinged flare that calls back to the circus troupe where front man Alex Olloman (UK) cut his teeth as a performance artist. His romantic countertenor notes run through indulgent cathedral reverberations until this brooding sound is cut in half by Christine Cornwell’s (UK) electric violin and Alistair David’s (NL) bass dials up the energy with his postpunk turbo charges. This goth band wants to make you to dance!
