Bio
Baby Gargoyle is a Rotterdam-based 3-piece band. At the junction between darkwave, post-punk, coldwave and art pop we bring rhythms you cannot help but move to, without losing the shadow of introspective songs.
Baby Gargoyle brings you a performance with a dramatic and slightly unhinged flare that calls back to the circus troupe where front man Alex Olloman (UK) cut his teeth as a performance artist.
Romantic countertenor notes run through indulgent cathedral reverberations until this brooding sound is cut in half by Christine Cornwell’s (UK) electric violin. As Alistair David’s (NL) bass dials up the energy with his postpunk turbo charges as the electronic beats clang with samples of Rotterdam’s industrial landscape.
